Seriale

Time, perception and change

Seriale is a series of three experimental videos that explore time, perception, and change through the repetition of constant points of view. The first video documents a bar parking with still images taken over several years; the second shows a narcissus in time-lapse over a single day, from sunrise to sunset; the third follows the blossoming of a cherry tree for about a month, from the first flower to the moment when the tree becomes completely green. The sequence of still images and the consistency of the viewpoint create a rigorous temporal structure, where the passing of time becomes the protagonist. The observed space, whether everyday or natural, is transformed into a meditative field of vision, and repetition highlights minimal and progressive changes. The use of different durations introduces a level of abstraction and perceptual distance.
