A Series of Visual Maps
1 - Milano Lorenteggio
Field Recordings are visual maps produced through the act of moving across a specific place within a limited period of time. Each recording combines a mapped route with a sequence of photographs made along the way. Rather than describing a place, the images register what emerges from passing through it: fragments, encounters, surfaces, interruptions and temporary configurations. Each route becomes a way of collecting a space at a particular moment, adding another layer to an archive that remains open and in progress.
