In 2006 the old pavilions of the Milan Trade Fair were demolished to make way for the new CityLife district, while the Fair was moved to Rho. A few months before their destruction I made this work among the huge pavilions that are now empty, spaces that had concluded their history.

It is a journey inside a suspended world, a shell with no more purpose in its silent vastness, destined to be torn down. The feeling is that these places are completely detached from their surroundings, as if they were in the middle of nowhere, in transit, witnessing how time and human action transform the environment.
